Notify the MassDEP of your impending demolition.
In accordance with 310 CMR 7.09, Massachusetts requires notification 10 business days prior to starting demolition. Submit a Notification Prior to Construction or Demolition form (BWP AQ 06) via MassDEP’s website. If you’d prefer to file a paper notification, you can fill it out and mail it to:

Each notification must also be accompanied by a $100 fee in order to be considered valid.
